Goorigian Farms holds itself as an absolute performance oriented center for the breeding of top class sport horses. We have taken great care to choose individuals that are representative of the most successful sport horse families worldwide. Selection is based on the highest proven concentration of superior performance records.

Top Class Warmblood Horses

Building of our horse breeding stock follows the strict rule that “only the very best horses are worth breeding”. Under this goal, we select breeding stock with the dedication of breeding for high performance.

Genetic evaluation is based on:

1. The female line has a surplus breeding value. There is scientific proof that the female lines of the dam, granddam, great granddam and so on…carry most of the genetic power and has a higher influence on the outcome (their foals). When selecting a stallion for your mare the same rule needs to apply. The stallion’s dam lines need to be out of the best and of proven mare families.

2. The performance record of the whole family is most important in the genetic pool. Top performance is based on the whole family lineage. Only proven families, not proven single individual horses, provide the necessary high breeding values. We choose mares which show in their pedigree the whole family has produced superior performance sport horses over generations.
